Tim Woestenenk | From Juno With Love
[Studio Soulrock | Studios007]

Tracklisting:
Tim Woestenenk proudly enters the annals of Studio Soulrock, delivering an EP infused with both energy and melancholy. The Deventer deep-house don submerges you in menacing melodies but keeps a keen eye on the dancefloor. The inciting character of this music grows on you, steadily bringing any crowd to boiling point. Pivotal moments guaranteed!

A1 TIM WOESTENENK – EL JOHN’S
The first track welcomes you with a playful piano, delicately interplaying with a firm forward-driven funky ‘feeling’. At times an ominous synth looms, its finely tuned chord progression grabbing listeners by the balls. Your typical break-glass-in-case-of-emergency floorbanger.

A2 TIM WOESTENENK – GREGOIRE
This soundscape provides a warm intermezzo in between the four-to-the-floor frenzy of the surrounding tracks. Guitar strings are accompanied by a somewhat unstable-sounding yet soothing synthesizer.

B1 TIM WOESTENENK – HOT NIGHTS
This track lingers on by means of a catchy melody and steady beat, motivating you with subtle perpetual percussion. Dormant emotions within the bass-line never fail to entertain until – suddenly – you are swept away by a sweltering vocal, reminiscent of those hot and sweaty nights of yesteryears. Guaranteed to provide a slow-burning eruption on any dancefloor.

B2 TIM WOESTENENK – I NEED LOVE
‘I Need Love’ slowly presses itself on you, combining another soothing vocal with crafty melodies and a bittersweet bass-line. In spite of it’s appeasing nature the track keeps you uplifted by delicately throwing percussive patterns at you. This merger of melancholy and inconspicuous drumming is capable of stunning onlookers with its ethereal beauty.

San Proper – Groundfloor Afterlife EP
[Studio Soulrock | Studios006]

Tracklisting:
Warm up your engines to the sound of San Proper! After capturing the hearts, minds and ears of audiences worldwide with his celebrated Hupsers & Kletsers For Life EP, San is back to rock your world with a Studio Soulrock solo. Taking his field recorder on a journey through sound to capture those ever-elusive imperfect harmonies, he has crafted a thrilling, spherical release. Proper properly prompts you to dance!

A. SAN PROPER – GROUNDFLOOR (UpfromdaWall&on…)
On the first track, San delivers a sensational slow-burning approach to your average floorfiller formula. The enchanting melodies and persuasive percussion slowly suck you in, inevitably drawing you to the dirtiest of dancefloors. The obnoxious yet intangible synth line makes the track somehow irresistible.

B. SAN PROPER – BERLIN AFTERLIFE
Many have tried to capture the timeless essence of the free-spirited yet raw metropolis that is Berlin. Mr. Proper succeeds remarkably well, by laying down an emotive reflection of both the city and it’s afterlife. The forward driven bass-line is subtly interwoven with actual U-bahn sounds, supplying it with feverous soul. A possible future hidden gem…
